You can't really avoid it in the gaming space right now, but if you did somehow miss it, Nintendo is currently celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Zelda series.
Following the release of Ocarina of Time for the Switch 2 this week, the firm has now issued a reminder about the series' anniversary in its latest financial results briefing. For the remainder of this year and throughout next year, it will pursue a "variety of initiatives" to celebrate the series.
It's not only focused on game releases, and fans who cherish the "earlier titles", but also merchandise, music (a worldwide concert), and of course, the Zelda movie - scheduled to arrive early next year. Here's what's on the way:
"Over the course of this year and next, we will pursue a variety of initiatives to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. In addition to games, we will expand opportunities for consumers to experience its world through the movie, music, character merchandise, and more.
"We will make the series even more appealing by offering different ways to enjoy it, both for those who cherish its earlier titles and for those discovering it for the first time."
