Most of the time when a game enters early access, it does so at a reduced price and then raises its cost when it makes it to a 1.0 launch. Not so with RuneScape: Dragonwilds, which Jagex has confirmed will remain at its current price point of $30, even after it hits 1.0.

“Since we launched into early access, we’ve been extremely proud of the amazing work that has gone into RuneScape: Dragonwilds,” the studio writes. “Dragonwilds’ success is because of the invaluable participation of our early access players, but also thanks to the support and excitement shared by the countless number of fans waiting for Kuldra’s Saga to be complete before you took the plunge with us.”

With only a few days left before the survivalbox heads to its September 15th full launch, the devs are already planning what’s next, promising to provide monthly updates, confirming a small content patch called Luminance this winter, and readying to share a general outline for what’s to come next year. At least now you can be rest assured that the box price will hold steady even after early access completes.
