Some Dungeons & Dragons fans may need to wait longer to enjoy their Arcana Unleashed Ultimate Bundle. Wizards of the Coast has announced a delay for the game's latest supplement and prewritten adventure. Thankfully, the publisher has also dropped a new batch of Unearthed Arcana.

The Arcana Unleashed Ultimate Bundle Delay and Second Underdark Unearthed Arcana

In a D&D Beyond blog post, Wizards of the Coast announced that, due to a truck accident, pre-orders of the Arcana Unleashed Ultimate Bundle, which contains the Arcana Unleashed supplement and the campaign module Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall, will be delayed in the United States and Canada. They did confirm that the driver was unharmed but that the stock the truck was holding will not recovered.

Because of this, the company is attempting to reallocate inventory to honor all pre-orders of the bundle made on D&D Beyond. Since this is last minute, that means customers might receive their books anywhere between the release date of September 15 and up to a week after that date. If you ordered the bundle of D&D Beyond between July 8 and September 14, you will receive a digital coupon for free digital dice on the platform.

New D&D Unearthed Arcana Focuses On Underdark

While this potential delay is a problem, the D&D design team did release a second batch of Underdark Unearthed Arcana. This batch doesn't have anything as eyecatching as a playable Mindflayer, but it does contain three new character subclasses and five playable species.

The first subclass is the Freedom Domain Cleric, a holy caster about escaping control or restraint. All in all, an evocative concept that has high abuse potential, hence this playtest. The second subclass is a 5.5e update on the Circle of Spores Druid, first seen in Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. Subclass three is the Faerzess Sorcerer, commanding the magic radiation of the Underdark.

The playable species continue the subterranean theme. The myconid are now playable if you didn't get enough of Daggerheart's Fungril ancestry. Second is the Kuo-Toa, the Lovecraft-esque fish people that can bring idols they worship to live. Species three is the Deep Imaskari, ancient descendants of the fallen Imaskar Empire. Fourth is the Drider, the half-drow, half-spider creatures usually relegated to boss fights.

The fifth playable species sort of complements the Mindflayer Villainous Path: it is called the Illithidkin. This is someone who were experimented on by Mindflayers and gained psionic abilities as a result. The player survey for this Unearthed Arcana will go live on September 17.
